American Gods series 2 will be hitting our screens on March 11th, 2019 and will be available to view exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. There will be 8 episodes in total and they will be released on a weekly basis. Prime Video have just released an official trailer for the new series and things look like they are definitely moving up a gear.
In the trailer we hear Mr Wednesday (Ian McShane) narrating and setting the scene as the war between the Old Gods and the New Gods begins to gain momentum. We see Mr Wednesday arming Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) with what can only be described as a massive bad ass spear stating that he has ‘a big role for you’ towards him. The details of this role are not clear and could be a blessing or a curse. We hear Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber) warning him that all things to do with Mr Wednesday have a great cost and that Shadow has yet to pay this cost so it sounds like there are plenty of twists and surprises on the horizon. We also get a glimpse of the new digitized version of Media as Gillian Anderson has left the series.

I for one cannot wait for this show to air again, season 1 set a new standard for TV drama both in terms of story telling and cinematography.
