Lucy (Abigail Spencer) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) were given a new member of the team following Wyatt’s (Matt Lanter) arrest for stealing the Lifeboat on the latest episode of Timeless.
Now accompanied by Master Sergeant Dave Baumgardner (Victor Zinck Jr.), the team headed off to Paris in 1927, the day that Charles Lindbergh (Jesse Luken) made the first solo transatlantic flight. Flynn (Goran Višnjić) shot down the plane and took Lindbergh hostage.
The team met Ernest Hemingway (Brandon Barash) who agreed to help them search for Flynn and Lindbergh, who were with Emma (Annie Wersching). Dave was killed during a shootout leaving Lucy and Rufus to fend for themselves and Lucy was abducted by Flynn.
Flynn tried to pressure Lucy into convincing Lindbergh to leave Rittenhouse threatening to kill him if she didn’t comply. Hemingway agreed to be the team’s new muscle and joined forces with Rufus to rescue Lucy and Lindbergh.
Meanwhile Wyatt was held prisoner but managed to escape when Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) discreetly helped him. The time machine project was taken over by NSA Agent Jake Neville (Jim Beaver).
Elsewhere Lucy’s mother gave her a new journal which was identical to the one Flynn had obtained from the future. Lucy, Wyatt, Rufus and Agent Christopher met in secret to plan their next move.
The penultimate episode of the season is Public Enemy No. 1. Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus seek help from Eliot Ness after Flynn lands in Chicago in 1931 intending to call in a favour from gangster Al Capone.
