That’ll Be The Day returns to the Churchill

Get ready for a party as the nation’s favourite variety show, the legendary That’ll Be The Day returns!

That’ll Be The Day is all about nostalgia and live entertainment, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever.

The show was established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980s and began playing regional theatres in the early 1990s. Having delighted audiences throughout the UK for over two decades, That’ll Be The Day is back on the road entertaining audiences with classic gold hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and more hilarious comedy!

Despite performing as many as 230 shows a year to capacity audiences across the UK, Trevor Payne (who created the show back in 1987!) still directs, produces and stars in the production today. Trevor rewrites the material for the show for each tour and over six months is taken in planning and preparation – culminating in a month of intensive rehearsals before the show once again takes to the road with its new offering every year!

That’ll Be The Day is renowned for its work with worthy causes, particularly BT Childline, Help For Heroes and more recently Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.

Make-A-Wish® has a single purpose – to grant magical wishes to children and young people aged 3-17 fighting life-threatening conditions. Wishes can range from being a princess for the day, meeting a hero or going on a once in a life-time holiday. There are currently 20,000 children and young people in the UK fighting a life-threatening condition, and Make-A-Wish believes every one of them deserves to experience the magic of a Make-A-Wish wish.
