Rain Man steps into Leeds Grand Theatre

Mathew Horne and Ed Speleers play two brothers with one destiny in a new stage adaptation of Rain Man – arriving at Leeds Grand Theatre on Monday 29 October.

When self-centred salesman Charlie Babbitt discovers that his long-lost brother Raymond – an autistic savant with a genius for numbers – has inherited the family fortune, he sets out to get ‘his half’.

Charlie ‘borrows’ Raymond from the institution where he has spent most of his life and the two brothers embark on a trip across America, where Charlie soon discovers that Raymond is worth more than he could have ever imagined…

Based on the Oscar-winning film starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, Rain Man will star Gavin and Stacey’s Mathew Horne and Downtown Abbey’s Ed Speleers as brothers Raymond and Charlie Babbitt.

Directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, Rain Man follows previously acclaimed Bill Kenwright productions of films to the stage, including The Shawshank Redemption and Twelve Angry Men.

Rain Man is at Leeds Grand Theatre from Monday 29 October to Saturday 3 November 2018. Book online at leedsgrandtheatre.com or call Box Office on 0844 848 2700
