Paul McGann in all-star Three Sisters

Paul McGann, best-known for playing one half of Withnail & I, Percy Toplis in Alan Bleasdale’s The Monocled Mutineer, Doctor Who and Durian in our sonic movie favourite The Minister of Chance, is set to return to the stage to play Vershinin in a production of Anton Chekhov’s The Three Sisters.

Holliday Grainger, Olivia Hallinan and Emily Taaffe will play the eponymous sisters.

The show will play at Southwark Playhouse from April 3rd to 3rd May.

Three Sisters reunites producers Jagged Fence Productions and director Russell Bolam – the team behind 2012’s critically acclaimed, sell-out hit, The Seagull and is co-produced by Danielle Tarento, the award winning producer of last year’s smash hit, Titanic – winner last night of four Off West End Awards, including Best Musical. Bolam recently directed critically acclaimed productions of The Merry Wives Of Windsor at the Ivan Vasov, National Theatre of Bulgaria and Anya Reiss’ version of The Seagull and the world premiere of Philip Ridley’s Shivered, both at Southwark Playhouse.

To secure tickets, call the box office on 020 7407 0234 or book through the Southwark Playhouse website.
