Merrily We Roll Along enjoys West End Transfer

After selling out at favourite fringe venue the Menier Chocolate Factory, Sondheim’s musical Merrily We Roll Along is to have a twelve-week run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London’s West End, opening there 1st May.

Set between the 1980s and 1950s (the action moves backwards in time!) Merrily We Roll Along is a period piece, plush with nostalgia and featuring some of Sondheim’s best-loved songs, including Good Thing Going, Not a Day Goes By and Old Friends.

The cast includes Mark Umbers, Jenna Russell and Damian Humbley as the principals, plus support from Josefina Gabrielle, Clare Foster and Glyn Kerslake. The ensemble features Matthew Barrow, Martin Callaghan, Amanda Minihan, Kirk Patterson, Amy Ellen Richardson, Ashley Robinson, Robbie Scotcher, Zizi Strallen and Joanna Woodward.

Merrily We Roll Along marks the directorial debut of Maria Friedman.

Tickets for Merrily We Roll Along at the Harold Pinter Theatre can be pre-booked from the AGT website.
