Marti Pellow (Wet, Wet, Wet) is set to join the cast of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, taking on the role of Che.
Following its critically acclaimed run in 2013 Evita will continue to tour the UK into 2014, opening at New Theatre, Oxford on Wednesday 22 January.
Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status.
Evita features some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
Mark Heenehan reprises his role as Peron.
