Late Night Love at West Yorkshire Playhouse

This June, Eggs Collective present Late Night Love, a “tender and ridiculous” show that “clambers up your drainpipe with a rose between its teeth.” Eggs Collective are a trio who make sharp, comic, politically motivated work that falls somewhere in the cracks between cabaret and theatre.

Inspired by the confessional radio show of the same name, Late Night Love is an investigation of how power ballads and intimate, adult phone-ins impacted their expectations of life and relationships.

Created in collaboration with Oliver Award-winning director Mark Whitelaw, Late Night Love is the company’s second show, following 2015’s messy and much-loved hit Eggs Collective Get A Round.

Raw-edged and warm-hearted, Late Night Love is where teenage crushes wrangle with the reality of romance, where saxophones cry and secrets crackle from radios in the dark.

Late Night Love is in the Barber Studio of West Yorkshire Playhouse on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th June. Tickets cost £12.50. Book online at wyp.org.uk or call the Box office on 0113 213 7700.
