Theatre maestros Fuel’s monthly series of podcasts by selected theatre artists continues with The Company’s “Waiting… are we?”, the latest episode of the While You Wait series, which comprises twelve podcasts inspired by the idea of waiting. Whether you view waiting as valuable thinking time, a welcome lull in the day-to-day frenzy, or a complete and unforgivable waste of our most precious commodity – time – there will be something in While You Wait that will challenge your thinking on every hiatus.
“Waiting… are we?” is a collaboration by The Company and Dr Jonathan Reades, commissioned by Dublin Theatre Festival. This podcast was made possible thanks to the kind support from Culture Ireland.
The Company are a collective of theatre artists based in Dublin. They aim to make work that changes how theatre is made and seen by looking and learning from the everyday. In the past they have developed theatre works around issues such as identity, nationhood and politics. This will be their first public podcast. Upcoming work includes Politik at the Fast Forward Festival in Germany in November.
