Craft Theatre’s The Diver on now

Craft Theatre company member Helen Foster has brought her one-woman show The Diver to the Rag Factory, which plays until 2nd August.

The Diver is an underwater adventure story following explorer Kate Plank as she attempts to walk across the Atlantic Ocean floor from England to New York.

The Diver is a playful, imaginative show drawing on puppetry, physical theatre and clowning to explore the depths of the Ocean and the fear that can stand in our way. Follow Kate Plank’s incredible adventure and ask yourself: what perils will she face?! Will she arrive safely on the other side?! Will the audience drown?!!

The Diver is an intimate performance from actor and improviser Helen Foster, devised by her and Craft Theatre artistic director Rocky Rodriguez Jr. Helen has performed internationally and is known for her work with Craft Theatre, whose adaptation of Dante’s Inferno played at the Rag Factory earlier this year. The company specialise in use exhaustion, cognitive neuroscience, sociology and devising techniques to create work that focuses on emotional authenticity and depth – keeping the actor present, and telling stories with integrity.
