Cilla The Musical is the spectacular and heart-warming musical adaptation of the critically acclaimed ITV television series by Bafta-Award winner Jeff Pope. It tells the extraordinary story of Priscilla White, the ordinary girl from Liverpool whose teenage dreams of stardom lead her to become Cilla Black – international singing sensation and one of Britain’s best-loved entertainers.
Produced by Bill Kenwright, Laurie Mansfield and Robert Willis, the show stars Kara Lily Hayworth as Cilla. Kara beat thousands of hopefuls in nationwide open auditions for the coveted role. Andrew Lancel returns to his role as Brian Epstein and Alexander Patmore is welcomed as Bobby Willis.
Nominated for Best New Musical at the What’s On Stage awards, the musical score boasts the ultimate soundtrack to the 60s, including Cilla’s greatest hits Anyone Who Had a Heart, Alfie and Something Tells Me, alongside a backdrop of the legendary Liverpool Sound, including the Beatles’ Twist and Shout.
