The X Factor 2017 semi-finals top 3 performances part 2

The X Factor semi-final continued following last night’s elimination. Indeed Matt Linnen did not have an easy ride on the show and it was a difficult night for him as he went head to head with this years favourites.

Tonight the remaining contestants sang the songs they had hand-picked and thought could get them to the final. It was a great evening and you can find out what my top three performances below.

3. Kevin Davy White – Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix

Kevin has shone throughout the competition as one of the strongest contestants. He never shies away from a challenge and picked one Jimi Hendrix’s legendary tracks to perform tonight. The song choice was bold and Kevin lived his best moment and I loved every second of it.

What the judges said: Louis said that the performance worked and Sharon thought there was never a contestant on the show like him and that she loved seeing him evolve on the show. Simon painfully said that it was ‘incredible’.

2. Rak Su – I am Feeling You

Rak-Su always shine when they sing their own songs and tonight was really no different. The boys sang the song that they performed on their first X Factor competition and it worked a treat. I loved the stage set and the boys’ energy added to the performance.

What the judges said: Louis remembered the boys first performance and loved it, Sharon added that each of their songs were infectious and that she would seem them next week. Mentor, Simon said that they boys stood for everything that he liked, friendship, talent and that he respected them for it.

1. Grace Davies – Wolves

Grace chose an original song for tonight’s show. The track was catchy and Grace chose an eye-catching look. The young singers performance was sensational and one of the best on the show.

What the judges said: Simon thought the song was a hit and loved hearing it. Nicole said that it would be a beautiful ride for her (in the industry) and Louis added that she had to be on the final next week, whilst mentor Sharon also couldn’t wait to hear more of her catalogue.

The X Factor 2017 grand final will air next Saturday on ITV.
