Following the nail-biting and tragic season 7 opener, The Walking Dead shifted gears for its latest episode.
Taking a break from the devastation Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) wreaked, the episode focused on Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James) who were adjusting to life in The Kingdom. Run by King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), The Kingdom was revealed to be one of the many communities working for Negan.
Morgan discovered that the people of the community were feeding the pigs Walkers before killing them and providing them to The Saviors. Presumably they’re hoping to pass the infection on and end Negan’s reign.
Carol decided that she wanted to leave The Kingdom, despite Morgan’s pleas and she shacked up in a cottage. Ezekiel found her and the two seemed to have an understanding with one another.
The next episode of the season is The Cell. We’re introduced to a completely new group of survivors living in an impressive community that seems to have it all… for a price.
