Hit US medical drama The Resident arrives in the UK tomorrow on Universal Channel.
The series stars Matt Czuchry (Gilmore Girls), Emily VanCamp (Revenge), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek), Manish Dayal (90210) and Shaunette Renée Wilson (Black Panther). It was created by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, we caught up with stars Matt Czuchry and Emily VanCamp to find out more about the series.
Taking a different approach to the medical drama formula, The Resident explores the darker side of the running of a US hospital and the staff that work in it. Grey’s Anatomy this most certainly isn’t!

The synopsis for the Pilot is: A new intern faces up to the tough reality of working in a hospital as unconventional medic Conrad Hawkins takes him under his wing.
