The Catch 2×02 The Hammer preview

Alice (Mireille Enos) faced two distractions as she tried to rebuild her business with Val (Rose Rollins) on the season two premiere of The Catch.

Firstly Ben (Peter Krause) accepted a deal to get out of prison without telling her before disappearing while being transported to the hospital following an attack in prison. Secondly her brother Tommy (T.R. Knight) arrived and needed her help when a bank account with $3 million dollars was opened using his details.

Rhys (John Simm) orchestrated the Ben’s breakout as he needed his help on a con. Ben made contact with Alice who had to keep Ben’s whereabouts secret from Agent Diaz (Gina Torres), who was trying to locate him.

Alice eventually came clean to Agent Diaz and negotiated a new deal for Ben that required him to work undercover for 18 months.

Meanwhile Margot (Sonya Walger) suspected that her mother was trying to ruin the family business to get revenge. It turned out that wasn’t true and when Margot’s lover Jamison (Nick Hounslow) was murdered, she turned up to the AVI offices looking to hire Alice and Val to help her.

Elsewhere in the episode Alice convinced her brother to help her find out whose money he is in possession of, and Val was disappointed when Dao (Jacky Ido) told her he had been promoted and was transferring to Washington D.C.

The next episode of the season is The Hammer. The AVI team takes on a difficult client who is being hunted by a sharpshooter. Meanwhile, Rhys and Ben are tempted by old tricks.
