What do you mean with Klattenhoff’s limited range? You must have never seen The Blacklist S1 Mako Tanida and Anslo Garrick before then. Diego Klattenhoff is a terrific actor. The best episodes in S4 is the last 7 episodes where Tom is gone, and Ressler is given a story at the end. It felt like S1 somewhat. If you really watched The Blacklist since S1 you must have known that Ressler’s role and dialogues have been significantly reduced since S3B. It’s quite obvious until the last episodes of S4 when it came back a little bit. It has nothing to do with Diego’s ability. It’s clearly to me and other Diego/Ressler’s fans (check tumblr, please) that The Blacklist especially S4 felt like being used to promote Tom Keen/The Blacklist Redemption. So, as Diego’s fan, I took offense of your review here. You don’t need to bash him when his character in S4 was clearly given limited role to boost other character. I watch The Blacklist because of him since S1, because accidentally watched him in S1E3. It’s such a shame what TPTB did to DK and his character. He deserves so much better. So, next time, please be careful in writing your review.

And I don’t agree Aram is the show secret weapon. Like I said, the balance of characters’ roles has gone. Saram’s story was put to overshadow Liz/Ressler’s story previously built since S1. You can’t deny it wasn’t there. I also disagree Tom is great character. TPTB purposedly wrote for Tom’s character whom should have been dead at the end of S1. Their showrunners admitted this in an interview. For me The Blacklist is about Red-Liz-Ressler. Since S1 I felt it then it’s shifted to promote other character. TB Redemption is the evidence of it, I’m surprised you can’t see that obvious thing. Though given limited material, Diego still can pull the best of it. So, next time, please be careful in writing your review.

Thanks for taking the time to write a comment. Clearly we have different opinions. I don’t agree about Diego at all. I’ve said since season 1 that he’s a limited actor and I maintain that. It’s fine if you don’t agree with my review – we don’t have to agree – but I also don’t have to ‘be careful’ when expressing my opinion in my review. I have watched every single episode of The Blacklist and am a big fan of the show but I can see what I perceive to be its faults too.
