The Blacklist 5×19 Ian Garvey: Conclusion preview

Liz (Megan Boone) took matters into her own hands when it came to bringing Ian Garvey (Jonny Coyne) down on the latest episode of The Blacklist.

Skipping a trip to Paris to help Reddington (James Spader) and the Task Force locate another Blacklister, Liz enlisted the help of Aram (Amir Arison) to get her hands on Ian Garvey’s file. After setting up an elaborate ruse, Liz discovered that Garvey travelled to the same bar in Baltimore every week and took Aram with her to investigate.

Initially believing that Garvey wasn’t really up to anything, Liz was interested when she saw him embracing a young woman called Lillian Roth (Fiona Dourif) that worked there. After Garvey left, Liz spoke to Lillian and took her back to her apartment to explain why she needed her help.

Lillian revealed that Garvey was her surrogate father who saved her from her own criminal father… Raymond Reddington!

Meanwhile Samar (Mozhan Marno) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) tracked down a heroin supplier for the Nash Syndicate, who was in Paris to rescue his son who had been kidnapped by the Taliban. Red helped the man get his son back on the understanding that he cut his ties with Garvey.

The next episode of the season is Ian Garvey: Conclusion. Liz gets some surprise intel in her race to uncover Red’s secrets. Her dad makes a big play to get back that mysterious bag-o-bones.
