Kara (Melissa Benoist) accompanied J’onn (David Harewood) on a mission to Mars following M’gann’s (Sharon Leal) message on the latest episode of Supergirl.
When he got there, J’onn was introduced to the resistance and he discovered that his father M’yrnn (Carl Lumbly) had been found alive. M’gann told him she needed M’yrnn to give them the location of the Staff of Kolar, a psychic weapon, but J’onn found his father mistrusting believing him to be a White Martian.

With Kara’s help, J’onn convinced his father of his identity and the resistance was able to locate the Staff. Following the mission J’onn returned to Earth with his father in tow.
Meanwhile Maggie (Floriana Lima) contacted her father (Carlos Bernard) and invited him to her Bridal Shower. He showed up but his deep rooted homophobia led to a tense confrontation between the two.
Believing that her lack of desire to have children came from her own childhood, Alex (Chyler Leigh) broached the subject again but was shot down by Maggie.
The next episode of the season is The Faithful. J’onn fesses up to an old secret. Kara investigates the leader of a new and secretive group, who has a rather strange connection to Supergirl.
