Lena (Katie McGrath) discovered that her ex-boyfriend Jack Spheer (Rahul Kohli) was hiding a pretty big secret on the latest episode of Supergirl.
The technology wiz held a press conference to unveil Biomax, nanbots that can heal humans. Lena attended with Kara (Melissa Benoist) and it wasn’t long until Kara was told that the human trials in the Biomax development were fake.
After crashing Lena and Jack’s dinner, Kara and Mon-El (Chris Wood) stole Jack’s access keycard and broke into his office. They discovered a video showing Jack injecting Biomax into himself so Kara showed it to Lena.
Lena confronted Jack and discovered that he was unaware of what was happening to him as he was being controlled by his CFO Beth Breen (Claudia Doumit). Supergirl tried to save Lena but was overcome by nanobots forcing Lena to deactivate them and kill Jack in the process.
Elsewhere in the episode Snapper (Ian Gomez) rehired Kara after her work on the Biomax story, Lena was visited by Rhea (Teri Hatcher) and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) got James (Mechad Brooks) to agree to let Lyra (Tamzin Merchant) join the Guardian team.
The next episode of the season is Alex. Supergirl and Maggie are forced to push their differences aside when Alex is kidnapped.
