Eric (Michael Ealy) continued to try and find Kate’s (Jordana Brewster) assistant Liam on the latest episode of Secrets and Lies.
Following an awkward run in with Danny (Kenny Johnson) at Liam’s apartment, Eric started to unravel the mystery of who Liam really is. It turns out that he lied on his CV and that Kate knew he wasn’t who said he was. That led Eric to suspect that maybe Liam was the son Kate gave up years earlier.
Eric watched CCTV footage from outside the office on the night of Kate’s death and saw Liam leaving with all his belongings. He got into a car with an unknown person so Eric tracked it down using the number plates. That led him to a girl who had already been found by Danny who was threatening to make her talk.
Elsewhere in the episode Cornell (Juliette Lewis) realised the accusations of domestic abuse against Eric by a former girlfriend were false. Meanwhile John (Terry O’Quinn) persuaded Eric not to tell anyone about Liam’s deceit or the fact he opened up credit cards using the identities of the company’s investors.
It was also revealed that Kate had asked her ex-boyfriend to put tracking software on her iPad.
The next episode of the season is The Detective. Eric and Danny continue their search for Liam. Patrick is drawn into Detective Cornell’s interrogation.
