Jesse (Dominic Cooper) tested out his new found powers on the latest episode of Preacher.
Confiding in Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Jesse displayed what he could do by making him carry out a series of commands. His power came in useful later in the episode when Jesse had a confrontation with a gun-wielding Donnie (Derek Wilson) in a gas station bathroom. Using his power Jesse scared the life out of Donnie and got himself out of the situation unharmed.
Elsewhere in the episode Cassidy was confused to see Fiore (Tom Brooke) and DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef) live and well after killing them, Tulip (Ruth Negga) attempted to convince Jesse to go back to his old ways, and Donnie reassured his son that he hasn’t been beating his wife suggesting that the noises the boy overhears are related to their sex life.
The next episode of the season is Monster Swamp. Jesse makes Quincannon a bet he can’t refuse, Cassidy works to fend off the angels, and Tulip tries to bring justice to Annville.
