Penny Dreadful returned to our screens last week and the central characters were split apart around the world.
Set against the backdrop of the death of poet Alfred Tennyson, the first episode of the new season saw Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) fighting severe depression with the help of Dr. Seward (Patti LuPone) and Dr. Alexander Sweet (Christian Camargo). Meanwhile Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) was escorted home to his father with Hecate (Sarah Greene) in tow.
Elsewhere Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) enlisted the help of Dr. Henry Jekyll (Shazad Latif), Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) meet a mysterious man in Zanzibar, and Caliban (Rory Kinnear) headed home from the Arctic.
The next episode of the season is Predators Far and Near. Lily (Billie Piper) and Dorian (Reeve Carney) rescue a young woman, while Sir Malcolm continues his journey with the enigmatic Kaetenay.
