Rayna (Connie Britton) was desperate to sign a big name to Highway 65 to prove that the label was more than a vanity project on the latest episode of Nashville.
The songstress and label head set her sights on a rock star Markus Keen (Riley Smith) who wants to record a Country album. Rayna found herself sat next to Markus on a flight and the two hit it off and she offered to sign him to her label.
Elsewhere Luke (Will Chase) hired a PR adviser to help do damage control after Will (Chris Carmack) publicly came out. Realising he had little choice if he wanted to keep his label going, Luke decided to drop Will.
Meanwhile Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) did a disappearing act on Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and change her phone so no one could reach her, Gunnar (Sam Palladio) was unhappy with the results of a photoshoot with Scarlett (Clare Bowen) after the pictures were photoshopped to make the two appear closer, and Layla (Aubrey Peeples) performed at the Bluebird.
The next episode of the season is How Can I Help You Say Goodbye. A devastating development leaves Scarlett with a life-changing decision. Juliette’s behaviour forces Avery’s hand.
