Following the success of his hit single, Rack City, Tyga is back with a brand new single featuring superstar Justin Bieber. The artist shares his label, Cash Money Records with the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicky Minaj. His new single, Wait For A Minute was made available early and shot straight to No.1 in the UK iTunes Hip-hop chart and top 20 in the UK iTunes chart. We had a listen and here are our thoughts.
Tyga has certainly been all over the radio this year and his winning streak is only starting. Wait For a Minute kicks off on a seductive note with Justin Bieber’s sexy vocals. Seems like Bieber has long become an adult and it is reflected in his recent collaborations / album and this single is also reflective of this. Bieber sounds much more mature and his vocals are complimented by Tyga’s swift delivery and edgy tone. Tyga does what he does best, mainly rap and well be rather suggestive. Wait For A Minute’s jewel though is a catchy beat, which gives the single its edge.
We like Tyga’s new single a fair bit. Wait For A Minute is the right amount of sexy and catchy. The beat at the core of the track is infectious and its no surprise this single sold digitally as well as it has. We suspect physical CDs will sell just as fast.
