Max Raptor – Carolina single review

Midland natives Max Raptor are far from old fossils and pull no punches getting straight to the point, setting the pace for their striking latest single.

Portraying a picture of perfect homely dysfunction, Carolina consists of bitterly spat lyrics set to hard-hitting drums and aggressive guitar riffs that focus on the failings of fictional family members stating ‘his father and his sister and his mother are all to blame’. The catchy colloquial chorus provides a playful edge to the track and melody and words alike will stick in your head.

Carolina exhibits Max Raptor’s roaring versatility and ability to mix up a storm in terms of style when compared to strong previous offerings Ghosts and The Great and The Good, which likened them to a louder punkier Lost Prophets with it’s hummable hooks.

We thoroughly suggest you give these bolshie boys a listen and catch them live if you can.
