Thirty Seconds To Mars launched their new single Up in the Air into space yesterday.
The band members were present in Florida to witness the launch of the second SpaceX cargo mission to the International Space Station. The company’s Falcon 9 rocket carrying its Dragon cargo capsule left today at 10:10 a.m. EST from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and was filled with more than 1,200 pounds of scientific experiments and cargo – and the first copy of Up In The Air.
On Monday 18th March the band will visit Mission Control Houston for a Q&A with Tom Marshburn, one of the astronauts aboard the space station. It will be broadcast live online with details coming soon via www.thirtysecondstomars.com
The same day Up in the Air will premiere worldwide and be available for download from 19th March. The track is the first single to be lifted from the band’s fourth album due for release later this year.
