The Maccabees set to perform at NME Awards with Austin, Texas

The NME Awards 2016 with Austin, Texas will take place in Brixton’s O2 Academy were artists will be honoured with the coveted awards. Furthermore punters will be able to see Bring Me The Horizon and Coldplay perform at the event. NME has also revealed that The Maccabees, Foals and Rat Boy will be performing at the ceremony.

Rat Boy said about the news: “’I’m real excited to play at the NME Awards, I want to share a table with Kendrick Lamar – Thank you everyone for the support this year, I never would of dreamed of being a part of one of these awards.”

Mike Williams, NME editor-in-chief, says: “We’re delighted to welcome The Maccabees, Foals and Rat Boy to the stage at this year’s NME Awards with Austin, Texas. The Maccabees and Foals always put on an incredible show and it’s great for us to champion Rat Boy – who has been a firm favourite on the NME Awards Tour with Austin, Texas this year.”

The NME Awards Shows 2016 with Austin Texas continues throughout February with the likes of Crystal Castles, Blossoms, Kid Wave, Spring King, Alex G, VANT, Together Pangea, Crows, Pretty Vicious, Suede, The Magic Gang, Declan McKenna, Mystery Jets, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Swim Deep and The Strypes.

The NME Awards Tour 2016 with Austin, Texas also kicked off this month with  Bloc Party whom are joined by Drenge, Rat Boy and Bugzy Malone.
