The Lumineers have unveiled the music video for their new single Ophelia.
The first track to be taken from their upcoming album Cleopatra, Ophelia has already picked up 1.8 million streams on Spotify in its first 5 days. The music video was directed by Isaac Ravishankara.
The video for Ophelia features the bandās frontman, Wesley Schultz, dancing in the streets paying homage to the classic Gene Kelly film Singinā In the Rain.
Wes stated: āFor the music video Ophelia, our good friend Isaac Ravishankara, who directed the Stubbon Love music video from our first record, brought us a treatment that involved me dancing in the streets while it was raining so I had to learn choreography for the first time in my life. I learned how to dance for this music video.ā
Cleopatra will be released in the UK on 8th April 2016. The band will arrive in the UK for a headline tour later that month in support of the record with tickets going on-sale tomorrow (Friday 12th February 2016).
