Simply Red have been announced as the first act for the Live at Chelsea 2016 concert series.
The British legends, who are currently on their Big Love World Tour as they celebrate their 30th anniversary, will perform classic hits from their back catalogue on Sunday 19th June 2016. Simply Red are led by Mick Hucknall with Ian Kirkham (sax), Steve Lewinson (bass), Kenji Suzuki (guitar), Kevin Robinson (trumpet and flute) and Dave Clayton (keyboards) plus new drummer Roman Roth.
Fans can expect classics such as Stars, If You Donāt Know Me By Now and Fairground.
On performing at Live In Chelsea, Mick said, āIām thrilled that weāve got the chance to play in such beautiful surroundings, but the real privilege for us is in supporting the veterans of this country, who have given so much. We canāt wait!ā.
Live at Chelsea is hosted in a fully seated auditorium in the Royal Hospital Chelseaās central courtyard – the Hospital itself was founded by King Charles II in 1682 and is home to the Chelsea Pensioners, 300 retired soldiers.
