Rufus Wainwright to play Mouth of Tyne Festival

Internationally famous singer and songwriter, Rufus Wainwright has been added to Mouth of the Tyne festival’s bill. The American artist hailed by the likes of Sir Elton John will play this July at Tynemouth and Whitely Bay on the North East cost this summer.

Tickets for the festival are priced at £29.50 – £35 and go on sale on Friday 8th May at 9am.

Son of folk singers Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and brother of singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright, Rufus has achieved his success by carving out his own singular sound in the worlds of rock, opera, theatre, dance, and film.
