Rufus Wainwright launches mobile app

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has released his official mobile app.

The one-stop channel for all things Rufus is an intimate and exclusive way for fans to connect. The app features regular live streaming, exclusive photos and video clips, in-app chats with Rufus, ticket pre-sales, special merchandise offers, fan competitions, new material and live audio performances.

Talking about the app Rufus says, “Iā€™m really excited about creating a personal relationship with my fans on a platform where I can speak freely and not be filtered – everything goes directly to the people who want to hear it, without being taken out of context.

I like that you just push one button and it all appears – itā€™s good to have everything in one spot…all your eggs in one basket, so you can make a big omelette of Rufus!ā€

The app gives fans access to all of Rufusā€™ social networks, ticketing sites and merchandise store all in one place, plus the official community where fans can chat and share their own content, this is a truly immersive experience.

Rufusā€™s back catalogue will be available for fans to stream in the app. The app is powered by Disciple Media and will be available for all iOS/Apple and Android phones, iPads and tablets. Fans can download the app for a two week free trial from release date (28 November) and thereafter choose to continue their Premium subscription for $3.99 / Ā£2.49 / ā‚¬3.59 per month (fans who donā€™t subscribe can still access basic features of the app).
