Lauren Laverne revealed in a special podcast the details of the up and coming Radio 6 festival, which will take place on Tyneside between 20th and 22nd February at the O2 Academy Newcastle and The Sage Gateshead.
Radio 6 has always championed new music and its festival will be no different with acts such as Kate Tempest, Jungle playing and also old bands such as Interpol.
Lauren Laverne said: “I’m so excited that this year’s 6 Music Festival is taking us back to my home in the Northeast. It’s going to be an incredible weekend of music, not to be missed. The Festival is a celebration of the music and culture we and our listeners love so much.”
