Pitbull & Ke$ha top the charts

Pitbull and Ke$ha have shot straight into the number one spot in the first singles chart of 2014 with Timber.

The track has knocked last week’s number 1 Happy by Pharrell Williams off the top spot. Holding strong at 3 is Avicii with Hey Brother closely followed by fellow non-mover Jason Derulo at 4 with Trumpets.

Over on the album chart Ellie Goulding has climbed five places to number 1 with Halcyon leaving Gary Barlow holding at 2 with Since I Saw You Last and Beyonce climbing to 3 with her surprise self-titled set.
