November release set for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2016

BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2016 will arrive on 11th November 2016 it has been announced.

The collection celebrates the best of the past year’s Live Lounge sessions and it’s the 11th instalment in the series. Known for attracting some of the biggest names and new artists in music, the album showcases the biggest hits of the year through unique cover versions or creative reworks of artists’ own tracks.

Live Lounge 2016 features tracks from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Jack Garratt, Fifth Harmony, Bastille and One Direction. There are first time appearances from Lukas Graham, Blossoms and Shawn Mendes, and the return of Coldplay, James Bay, Usher and Olly Murs.

The 1975 taking on Justin Bieberā€™s Sorry, Gorgon City take on Drakeā€™s One Dance, Nick Jonas makes Lush Life his own and Craig Davidā€™s put his own spin on Justin Bieberā€™s Love Yourself.

Radio 1ā€™s Live Lounge attracts the best acts in the world and is hosted by Clara Amfo. September saw the return of the hugely successful Live Lounge Month ā€“ when 25 of the biggest and newest acts from the UK and beyond performed in Radio 1ā€™s Live.
