Morgan Wallen joins Jake Owen’s Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour

Rising country star Morgan Wallen will join Jake Owen on his Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour this autumn.

The 12-date tour begins in Wilkes-Barre, PA on 4th October and runs until 3rd November. It will also feature special guest David Lee Murphy, who recently scored a number 1 hit with Everything’s Gonna Be Alright featuring Kenny Chesney, on selected dates.

The announcement follows Wallen’s opening slot for Luke Bryan on the superstar’s What Makes You Country Tour this summer. He’s received praise for his exciting performances at venues including Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles – where he was part of the first ever country lineup to perform inside the venue – Toronto’s Rogers Centre and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Additionally, Wallen’s latest single Whiskey Glasses has been added to 30 first week radio stations across the US, making it one of the most added singles at country radio. He performed the track, which sees him drowning his sorrows after a bad break-up, for the first . The song is also featured on his debut album, If I Know Me, which is available at all digital retailers now.

Whiskey Glasses is the follow-up to Wallen’s gold-certified number 1 single Up Down, a collaboration with multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Earlier this week Wallen performed alongside the band on the CMA Fest concert television special on ABC. The show is expected to air on Sky Arts in the UK later this year.

Before hitting the road with Owen, Wallen will open for Florida Georgia Line at Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown, OH. He’s also playing two headline shows this month at Jeter Farms in Buchanan, VA and the Washington County Fair in Richmond, VA.

Originally from Sneedville, Tennessee (the home of bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin), Wallen has seemed destined for musical stardom since he began performing in church at the age of three. He attended the same high school as Kenny Chesney, where he was a baseball star, before pursuing a career in music. His blend of country, rock and hip-hop has earned praise from the likes of Billboard, Rolling Stone Country and Taste of Country, and he was named in CMT’s LISTEN UP 18 for 2018 class of newcomers.

Wallen has amassed over 187 million combined digital streams and has honed his live performance skills opening for Florida Georgia Line and Chris Lane. Additionally, he’s written hits for artists including A Thousand Horses, Dustin Lynch and Kane Brown, as well as co-penning Jason Aldean’s number 1 single You Make It Easy.
