She will be joined by a band that features The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, who also co-produced the album; Beck bassist (and album co-producer) Gus Seyffert; Killers guitarist Jake Blanton; and Sturgill Simpsonās keyboard player Bobby Emmett.
Hopeless Romantic is Michelle’s 4th studio album and her first since 2003’s Hotel Paper. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producers Patrick Carney (The Black Keys) and Gus Seyffert (Beck, Norah Jones, Sia). It will be released on Verve Records.
āA lot of these songs are about heartbreak, but knowing that it doesnāt mean the end of the world. It just means letting go and moving on and knowing that youāre going to be okay,ā says Michelle. āThis is my first real-life autobiographical record.ā
