Martine McCutcheon joins Don Black tour

Martine McCutcheon has been announced as a special guest for the upcoming concert series celebrating the life and work of British lyricist Don Black.

The UK tour follows last autumn’s Royal Festival Hall Show which was broadcast as a BBC special over Christmas. It will mark McCutcheon’s return to the spotlight and performing.

Talking about the announcement McCutcheon says, ā€œI am so thrilled to be working with Don. I have always loved singing his songs and for the man himself to ask me to perform them is such an honour.ā€

McCutcheon will join actor Gary Wilmot as they bring their unique interpretations to some of Black’s most famous and iconic songs marking his 50th anniversary in the business. They will be backed by an orchestra and Olivier Award-winning actress Maria Friedman will also perform as well as acting as the show’s creatibve director.

Black is known for his iconic hits such as Born Free, Diamonds Are Forever and musicals like Sunset Boulevard, Billy and Aspects Of Love.

31st Bournemouth Pavillion

4th Leeds Town Hall

8th Manchester Opera House
