Mariah Carey announced for Blackpool’s Livewire Festival 2018

Mariah Carey is heading back to the UK in August to perform at Blackpool’s Livewire Festival 2018.

The news comes hot-on-the-heels of Carey’s recent announcement about her new Las Vegas residency, The Butterfly Returns. Carey will perform at Livewire Festival, which takes place at Blackpool’s Tower Headlands Arena on Friday 24th August 2018.

Fans can expect a selection of the global star’s biggest hits such as Honey, Fantasy and We Belong Together, and knowing Carey there’ll be some surprises in the mix too.

She is the first performer announced for Friday and more acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The day prior, Thursday 23rd August, Boyz II Men and Bros star Matt Goss have been announced to perform.

Kenny Rogers had been announced to perform on Saturday 25th August but his appearance has been cancelled due to health issues.

Tickets for Carey’s show will go on sale at 10am on Friday 11th May from https://www.livewirefestival.co.uk/.

The performance will be Carey’s first in the UK since she brought her critically-acclaimed All I Want For Christmas Is You tour over in December 2017. She performed in Manchester and at The O2 Arena in London.
