Toronto-based reggae band MAGIC! have announced the release of their debut single Rude through RCA/Sony Music in the UK on 20th July 2014.
The track has already proven to be a hit across Europe and in the US and is taken from the band’s debut album Don’t Kill The Magic!
MAGIC! is composed of songwriter and producer Nasri Atweh, Mark Pellizzer, Alex Tanas and Ben Spivak. Talking about the band Nasri says:
“I’m a huge fan of The Police, and I always wanted to do my own project that merged reggae, rock, pop, and a little soul for quite some time,” he affirms. “The moment Mark began playing, it felt natural. We had this vision, and it all tied together instantly. We began recording, and the sound was so locked in on every song. That’s even where we derived the band name. Everything simply worked like MAGIC!”
