The wait is almost over as the Queen of Pop, Madonna, is about to release new music.
After what feels like a very, very long wait the icon has announced her she will release new single Medellin with Latin superstar Maluma on Wednesday (17th April 2019). The news came in a series of Instagram posts, one of which featured a picture of Madonna and Maluma together.
Take a look below:
Medellin is the second-largest city in Colombia and the birth place of Maluma. While Madonna hasn’t teased a clip of the song yet, we can probably expect something that’s in the reggaeton and Latin trap sound that has made Maluma a worldwide star.
The track is the first single from Madonna’s upcoming 14th studio album Madame X, the follow-up to 2015’s Rebel Heart. No official release date has been announced for the album but we suspect it’ll be out early summer given that Madonna is due to perform on the Eurovision Song Contest Final next month.
Madame X has been teased with a mysterious video that features a small amount of new music and footage of Madonna dressed in various guises. Take a look at it below:
We’ll bring you all the latest on Medellin and Madame X as the details are released!
