Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert picked up top honours at last night’s 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The stars of the country world turned out in force to see Miranda Lambert pick up 3 awards including Female Vocalist of the Year. Luke Bryan picked up the coveted Entertainer of the Year award whilst Jason Aldean scooped the award for Male Vocalist of the Year.
Elsewhere Little Big Town picked up two awards, Eric Church picked up Album of the Year and Dallas Davidson picked up Songwriter of the Year.
Performances for the night came from Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, George Strait, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Stevie Wonder and Carrie Underwood. The highlights came on Brad Paisley’s duet with John Mayer on Beat This Summer, and Tim McGraw’s performance of Highway Don’t Care with Keith urban and Taylor Swift.
There was a also a tribute to Dick Clark courtesy of Garth Brooks and George Strait.
