John Legend has released his new single Love Me now via all digital platforms today.
To mark the release, John has posted the lyric video to his YouTube channel. Love Me Now was written and produced by John with Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes) and John Ryan (One Direction).
The song features a driving beat and showcases John’s silky smooth vocals.
Speaking about the song John says: “Love Me Now is all about living and loving to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring. I’m so excited to finally share music from my new album! I’ve put a lot of love and energy into making this album special. I hope my fans can feel it.”
Love Me Now is the first single taken from John’s upcoming album Darkness & Light. The song received its premiere yesterday when John played it via Facebook Live.
The inspiration behind the song is around seizing the moment in life, and loving each other in the present tense.
