Alicia Keys is back with new music and she’s released the audio for her new single In Common, which is available across all digital platforms now.
In Common is Alicia’s first release in four years and is taken from her upcoming sixth studio album, which is due for release later this summer on RCA Records. The song is written by Alicia, Illangelo, Tayla Parks, Billy Walsh and produced by Illangelo.
Musically the song is a departure for Alicia. It has an infectious baseline and Latin-inspired rhythms.
Talking about the track Alicia said, “We all have our issues, our challenges. We are all kind of messed up and that’s all right. In fact, that’s what helps us understand each other. To me, that’s is what is so beautiful.”
Alicia will perform the song for the first time this Saturday on Saturday Night Live in the US. In addition, she will make history with this track on May 28 in Milan, when she will be the first ever musician to open the UEFA Champions League Final.
