Kylie Minogue ‘felt for’ Madonna after BRITs fall

Kylie Minogue has revealed that she ‘felt for’ Madonna following the pop icon’s dramatic fall during her BRIT Awards performance.

The Aussie singer appears on The Jonathan Ross Show tonight and she talks to Jonathan about the incident.

ā€œThereā€™s always perils. Between the wardrobe and stage and quick changes, just a zillion things that could go wrong, so youā€™re always kind of negotiating and when something does go wrong, try and cover it up. Madonna couldnā€™t really cover that one up. But I felt for her because Iā€™ve landed on my backside a couple of times.ā€

During the interview Kylie also talks about Neighbours, the soap which made her a global star. This year is the show’s 30th anniversary but Kylie admits that she didn’t feel it was the right time to reprise her role as Charlene.

ā€œI just like to say never say never about anything in life. But I donā€™t think it would have done Charlene any favours to come back now. You know what I mean ā€“ she exists there and sheā€™s so strong and loved in peopleā€™s memories and for me as well, I donā€™t think Iā€™d have done her any justice.ā€

When asked where she thinks Charlene would be today, she says ā€œI donā€™t know. Iā€™d like to think that she was so gutsy as a youngster and breaking the rules and being a tomboy. It would be cool if she had a few garages around Queensland. She was a little tycoon in the motoring world, that would be cool.ā€

The Jonathan Ross Show airs at 9.35pm tonight on ITV.
