Jonatha Brooke to release new EP Imposter in November

Jonathan Brooke will release her new EP Imposter on 15th November 2019.

The EP will be preceded by a headline show at London’s The Islington on 28th September. Imposter is a five-track collection that includes the title track, the empowering Fire and the bold Revenge.

The follow-up to 2016’s Midnight. Hallelujah, Imposter is an EP about love, acceptance, and resolution, and it shows the true flexibility and versatility of this talented artist and musician.

Over her career to date Brooke has released more than 10 albums including four major label releases in the 90s. In 1999 she opened her own label Bad Dog Record, which she still relesses her material through today.

In recent years she has been the recipient of a McKnight Artist Fellowship Grant, and won the International Acoustic Music Award for Best Artist. Her one-woman musical My Mother Has Four Noses debuted in 2014, which was written while Brooke was looking after her mother who had Alzheimer’s.

The show ran Off-Broadway for ten weeks before playing elsewhere in the states to full audiences and rave reviews.
