John Mayer kicked off the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour with a show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The Grammy award-winning artist was joined by Alessia Cara during the evening and the two performed Erykah Badu’s On & On and a rendition of Cara’s song Stay. The two artists brought the set to a close with Mayer’s hit Gravity.
During the show Mayer performed songs from his latest album The Search for Everything as well as his biggest hits such as Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, Belief and Waiting on the World to Change.
Following his encore, Mayer returned to the stage to perform fan favourites such as St Patrick’s Day and his cover of Free Fallin’.
Talking about the show Mayer shared, “After playing to some huge crowds all summer, it was really cool to come play a show in a dive bar here in LA. I’m glad Bud Light was able to put this on and allow me to play with an amazing singer like Alessia Cara. I had a blast playing with a brilliant young singer like her.”
Celebrity guests for the event included G-Eazy, Jhene Aiko and Big Sean, Miles Teller and rapper Amina.
