Jennifer Hudson is on tonight’s The Jonathan Ross show to promote her new single I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel) and opens up about her relationship with former American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
During her interview with Jonathan he says to Jennifer, “At the time (of American Idol) Simon Cowell wasn’t your biggest fan.”
To which Jennifer responds, “No. He told me I was out of my league.” During the interview she goes on to reveal that he did eventually apologise and admit he had been wrong about her when she went on to win an Oscar for Dreamgirls.
“Actually, he ended up apologising and sending me a video, the year I won my Oscar on the red carpet. There was a video of him. He congratulated me and he admitted that he was wrong. So I’ve got it on camera.”
Whilst chatting to Jonathan she sings an acapella version of a song from her new album, talks about family life and discusses fan encounters.
Jennifer appears on tonight’s show along with Sir Richard Branson, Davina McCall, Sue Perkins and musical guests Elbow.
Tune into The Jonathan Ross Show tonight at 9.20pm on ITV.
