Former X-Factor star Janet Devlin is releasing festive EP December Daze on 27th November 2015.
Following on from her debut album Running With Scissors, which hit number one on the UK Indie Breakers chart, the new EP is a mixture of original seasonal songs and a couple of Christmas classics. The EP is available to pre-order through PledgeMusic with plenty of goodies on offer for fans including exclusive offers and experiences, and even a Christmas Day Skype call from Janet!
‘Talking about the title track December Daze, Janet says, ‘I wrote this song in New York …It was a truly inspiring time to write a Christmas song as I’d gone for a walk in Central Park and it was covered in snow reminding me of all the classic Christmas films that had been made there. . Back in my hotel I sat on the 36th floor with my guitar player and the view of Times Square watching people with their woolly hats and oversized coats… Within these moments “December Daze” was born.’
Other tracks on the EP include a cover of Joni Mitchell’s classic River, Janet’s version of Silent Night and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. December Daze also includes original track Happy Holidays on which Janet plays drums, percussion, ukulele, glockenspiel and features a guest appearance from a choir made up of her merchandise warehouse team.
