James Blunt has been announced to perform at the Live At Chelsea Concert Series 2018.
The Live at Chelsea Concert Series takes place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in West London. Every year a portion of the ticket sales from the event is donated towards the care of the Chelsea Pensioners, as well as the maintenance of the Grade I listed site which has provided care and comradeship to ex-military personnel since 1682 when it was founded by King Charles II.
Blunt is the first artist announced and he will perform on Saturday 16th June 2018. A former Army Officer himself, Blunt’s performance will be particularly poignant for the Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army.
Talking about performing for the concert series Blunt says, “I am thrilled to be able to perform at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in West London. It’s where I now call home, and it will be great to be amongst friends and many familiar faces in the crowd.”
Blunt has had a remarkable career since emerging with Back to Bedlam in 2005. He has 5 albums under his belt including 2017’s The Afterlove, which featured Ed Sheeran co-write Make Me Better.
2018 will mark the 4th year for the Live At Chelsea Concert Series.
