Glitterbox is back in Ibiza this summer and returning to super club HÏ. Last year, Glitterbox made its debut at Ibiza’s newest super club and set to return to Hï Ibiza for a further 17 dates this summer. Kicking off the extravaganza on 1st June, Fridays at Hï Ibiza will be home to Glitterbox’s 21st century disco, bringing more star-studded line-ups, flamboyant performers and the unmistakable soundtrack of dancefloor gems, uplifting house and fresh disco cuts.
Over the last six months the Glitterbox phenomenon has gotten even bigger, touring the world, and becoming one of London’s most in-demand parties, selling out its shows in advance.
The Glitterbox Radio Show continuously occupies iTunes top spot for music podcasts and Glitterbox Recordings has released some excellent new tracks from the likes of Debbie Jacobs, Folamour, Aeroplane, Ralphi Rosario, Mousse T. and The Shapeshifters. The success of Simon Dunmore’s compilations, which are selected and mixed by the man himself prove that the spirit of disco is well and truly alive and kicking. The next instalment of Glitterbox – Love Injection will be released February 16t and features cuts from Gwen Guthrie, CeCe Rogers, Purple Disco Machine, KiNK, Midland and Sylvester, undoubtedly a teaser for what clubbers can expect when Glitterbox returns to the white island in June.
Last year’s line-up included sets from David Morales, Todd Terry, Horse Meat Disco, Roger Sanchez, Joey Negro, Basement Jaxx, Melon Bomb, Louie Vega, Aeroplane, Purple Disco Machine, Armand Van Helden, DJ wizard Mo ‘Funk, Detroit veteran Terrence Parker, iconic New York producer Jellybean Benitez, UK house and disco group Crazy P, pioneering British DJ Greg Wilson, and a live PA from American house music singer Crystal Waters.
Glitterbox will take place every Friday from June 1st to September 28th (excluding 3rd August)
